Plumber required at HMP Featherstone, ongoing contract starting ASAP, 39 hours per week, £23 per hour.
You will be working at HMP Featherstone for a facilities management and maintenance company. This company ensures that all maintenance projects throughout the prison are completed to a high standard.
Your new job will be temporary to permanent based on performance. You will be carrying out planned and reactive maintenance. Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Installing and maintaining heating systems
- Repairing sanitation systems
- Fitting appliances
- Emergency repairs
All tools and materials will be provided, and you could be asked to work 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 weekends, but the majority will be Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00. Working weekends are paid at overtime rates.
You will need to be able to pass an enhanced vetting procedure to be considered for this role and hold relevant Plumbing qualifications such as City & Guilds.
You will be paid £20 per hour, plus any overtime rates if you work weekends. This will be paid on a weekly basis. If you’re successful in the role, there may be opportunities to continue with this role either in the same or a different establishment.
