This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-profile Public Services organisation based in central Oxford, to support the communications team with the delivery of the communication plan during a period of change.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality communications and engagement activity; organising stakeholder events and briefings; and ensuring effective communications with a wide range of stakeholders externally. You will also work closely with the employee engagement and communications team to support internal messaging. You will draft, edit & publish communications materials across a wide range of channels and for a range of audiences. You will develop, manage and monitor paid for digital advertising campaigns. You will organise stakeholder briefings and events, monitor media coverage and track and report on social media engagement. You will also support with the evaluation of communications and engagement activity to inform future strategies.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You will have demonstrable experience of working effectively in a communications and/or engagement role, within a public sector or political environment.
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and the ability to translate complex information into clear and accessible information.
  • You will have experience of creating and editing engaging video content and experience of using and optimising paid advertising platforms (e.g. Meta, LinkedIn, Google etc).
  • Strong organisational skills are required, along with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

What you'll get in return:

  • £41,771 - £45,091 per annum.
  • This position is offered on a 6-Month Fixed Term Contract.
  • 37 hours per week, hybrid working with a minimum of one day on-site in central Oxford.
  • 38 days annual leave (including bank holidays) per annum.
  • Other benefits include Local Government Pension Scheme, and flexible working policies.
