Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Builder to join a leading organisation within the social housing sector, carrying out repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works across occupied and void residential properties throughout the Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled all-round tradesperson looking to secure a long-term position, with the successful candidate initially joining on a temporary basis with the opportunity to be permanent following a successful period.
The role involves undertaking a broad range of building repairs, maintenance and planned works, delivering high-quality repairs and improvements to customers' homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general building repairs and maintenance to occupied and void properties.
- Brickwork repairs and repointing.
- Groundworks, excavation and pipework repairs.
- Structural repairs and remedial works.
- Studwork, dry lining, plastering and patch repairs.
- Joinery works including 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
- Wall and floor tiling.
- Fencing repairs and installations.
- Window repairs and replacements.
- Roof repair and refurbishment works.
Requirements
To be considered, you will ideally have:
• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Builder within repairs and maintenance.
- Strong all-round building knowledge covering multiple trades.
- Experience working within occupied properties.
- Ability toplete a variety of repairs independently.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
Desirable
• Social housing repairs and maintenance experience.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- PASMA qualification.
- Abrasive Wheels training.
- Experience carrying out structural repairs.
- Ability to read construction drawings.
- Additional skills in roofing, plastering, tiling, fencing, groundworks or joinery.
