A leading infrastructure contractor is delivering a major highways project in the Norwich area and is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of highways and structures works. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term scheme with work secured through to 2028.

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination and delivery of highways and structures packages across the project. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting out and surveying works on site
  • Supporting the delivery of highways and structures activities
  • Reviewing design information and raising technical queries where required
  • Assisting with temporary works processes and design briefs
  • Producing and maintaining quality records and inspection documentation
  • Contributing to inspection and test plans (ITPs)
  • Identifying and managing non-conformances
  • Carrying out site inspections and promoting safe working practices
  • Supporting programme delivery and short-term planning activities
  • Liaising with supervisors, subcontractors, designers and client representatives

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major highways projects
  • Demonstrable experience delivering structural works
  • Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Experience using engineering surveying and setting-out equipment
  • Understanding of temporary works procedures
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and documentation
  • SMSTS and SEATS desirable
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence
