Hays is working exclusively with a well-established and reputable business based in Norwich to recruit a new Divisional Financial Controller. This company has a successful history and is looking to bolster their finance team with a skilled finance professional to continue their growth.

This role will report to and work closely with the Finance Director to oversee all financial operations and business partner with the senior leaders within the division to drive profitability. You will be responsible for:

  • Work with senior leadership to identify areas of efficiency or cost-saving
  • Act as a business partner to various stakeholders to improve financial performance and communicate key metrics and business growth opportunities
  • Produce management accounts and develop KPI reporting
  • Support the development of systems and processes
  • Oversee transactional finance processes and identify areas of improvement
  • Statutory reporting and audit preparation
  • Management of a small finance team, including the development and upskilling of junior members

This is a full-time role, working hours a week. This role will be considered an office-based role, but flexibility is available for occasional home-working and flexible office hours.

You will need to be/have:

  • A qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant
  • Strong technical accounting skills and be able to understand the underlying challenges and objectives
  • Ideally, have experience in an SME environment
  • Resilient and open-minded to change
  • Highly organised and proactive
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, being able to business partner with various stakeholders

You will receive a competitive annual salary of £50-60,000, 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), private medical insurance, performance-based bonus and potentially a company car allowance.
