Hays is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN college in North East Derbyshire to recruit an enthusiastic musician, tutor, or trainer. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop a learner band, helping young people with special educational needs express themselves through music and performance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a learner band, fostering teamwork and confidence
- Deliver engaging music sessions tailored to diverse learner needs
- Provide instrumental and vocal coaching in a supportive environment
- Organise and oversee performances at events and community gigs
- Encourage creativity, stage presence, and performance etiquette
- Work collaboratively with staff to enhance cross-curricular learning
- Maintain records of learner progress and achievements
- Ensure safeguarding and well-being at all times
What We’re Looking For
- A skilled musician with experience in teaching or training
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for learners with additional needs
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Passion for creativity and inclusion
