Hays is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN college in North East Derbyshire to recruit an enthusiastic musician, tutor, or trainer. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop a learner band, helping young people with special educational needs express themselves through music and performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop a learner band, fostering teamwork and confidence
  • Deliver engaging music sessions tailored to diverse learner needs
  • Provide instrumental and vocal coaching in a supportive environment
  • Organise and oversee performances at events and community gigs
  • Encourage creativity, stage presence, and performance etiquette
  • Work collaboratively with staff to enhance cross-curricular learning
  • Maintain records of learner progress and achievements
  • Ensure safeguarding and well-being at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • A skilled musician with experience in teaching or training
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies for learners with additional needs
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Passion for creativity and inclusion
