We are recruiting for a forward thinking Interim Finance Business Partner to join a growing organisation and play a key role within their Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. This is a highly visible, customer facing position that supports senior leaders and operational teams with insightful financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning. The role focuses on enhancing financial performance, improving reporting processes, and supporting the development of budgeting, forecasting, and business intelligence tools across the organisation.
Your new role
- Business Partnering & Financial Support
- Act as the primary finance contact for designated business areas, providing clear, accurate, and timely financial insight.
- Support senior management with monthly performance commentary, board level reporting, and decision making.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders through proactive engagement and a strong service delivery mindset.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the annual business planning cycle.
- Coordinate functional budgets and forecasts, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of submitted information.
- Contribute to the development of multi-year financial models and rolling forecasts.
- Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Assist in the enhancement of self-service BI and reporting tools, creating dashboards and analytical outputs that drive better decision making.
- Keep up to date with new system features and help embed improvements across the finance function.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues to support a broader understanding of reporting systems.
- Finance Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the development of financial policies, processes and methodologies.
- Support year end activities, audits, and wider finance projects.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency within FP&A.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this position will be QBE or PQ, available for an immediate start and able to commit to a 2-3 month contract. Key experience will include:
- Experience in a Finance Business Partnering role or similar FP&A focused position.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
- Advanced Excel capability and familiarity with self-service BI or planning systems.
- Ability to manage stakeholders, influence decision making and lead on ad-hoc projects.
