Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (37 hours per week, office-based)
Job Purpose: To provide comprehensive HR support to a 450-staff manufacturing organisation, ensuring a productive and positive work environment. The role involves managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to performance management and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers, advising on a wide range of issues including behavioural concerns, family matters, and disciplinary procedures.
- Performance Management: Monitor employee performance and address issues such as poor performance and lateness. Work collaboratively with line managers to develop and implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including organising and conducting new starter inductions to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs to boost morale and foster a positive company culture.
Person Specification
Experience: Previous HR experience is desirable but not essential.
Skills & Attributes: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent written communication with a keen eye for detail. Highly proactive with a strong willingness to learn. A quick and efficient learner who can adapt to new situations. A strong desire to build a career in Human Resources.
Qualifications: A CIPD qualification is ideal along with working experience in the role.
