Our client is a Top 100 firm that has been ranked in Band 1 for Personal Injury work by Chambers and Partners as well as Legal 500. They are currently recruiting for a catastrophic injury paralegal to join their Manchester office. Applicants would initially be required to be fully office-based before moving to 2 days working from home per week. The firm's office is based in Manchester city centre and is easily accessible by public transport.

This Catastrophic Injury Paralegal role will see you:

  • Assist senior colleagues in managing a diverse caseload involving brain injury, spinal cord injury, and amputation claims
  • Draft clear and comprehensive witness statements
  • Attend conferences with counsel and medical experts, and producing detailed notes
  • Prepare and review court documentation
  • Obtain, analyse, and organise medical and other relevant records
  • Evaluate medical reports to support case strategy
  • Conduct legal research on liability and quantum issues
  • Draft instructions for medical experts and counsel
  • Prepare court bundles for hearings
  • Manage billing processes and handle disbursement payments

Applicants must have a minimum of 12 months experience in personal injury and catastrophic injury claims. Strong team-working and communication skills. Strong academic background. Excellent client care skills. Ability to complete work set by senior team members to a high standard.
