A leading UK civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure works.
Operating on long-term frameworks andplex engineering projects, the business has an excellent reputation for safety, quality and client delivery.
Your new role
As Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of a section of works, managing engineering, mercial and operational activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities will include
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Planning and controlling construction activities within your area of responsibility.
- Developing programmes and assisting with budget forecasting.
- Monitoring progress, productivity and programme performance.
- Managing change, risks, opportunities and early warning processes.
- Working closely withmercial teams on valuation, measurement and cost control.
- Ensuring labour, plant and materials are available to maintain programme delivery.
- Producing and reviewing Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans.
- Leading quality assurance activities, handover documentation and close-out processes.
- Maintaining accurate site records, diaries and project documentation.
- Providing visible leadership in health, safety and wellbeing across the project.
- Managing and mentoring Site Engineers and Assistant Engineers.
- Supporting the development and performance management of site-based teams.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Site Agent, Senior Sub Agent or equivalent within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and engineering principles.
- Experience delivering projects involving heavy civils, concrete structures, utilities or infrastructure works.
- SMSTS.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- CPCS Appointed Person qualification desirable.
- Knowledge of construction contracts andmercial processes.
- Excellentmunication, planning and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
