We are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a global manufacturer in search of a Chief Engineer to oversee the Engineering function for a large manufacturing facility based in Lowestoft. Providing leadership and direction for the engineering, project and technical services teams and management of the capital budget.
As a key member of the site operations team, and as Chief Engineer, you will manage the capital budget, reliability and maintenance of the site and delivery of key site projects, BAU engineering and capital cost management. You will develop, maintain and implement site capital strategy, maintenance performance optimisation, deliver on budgets on time to forecast.
- Capital engineering responsibility for new product development, capacity extension, cost savings and other strategically important initiatives
- Developing new technology, benchmarking accountability for engineering and utilities
- Legislative appreciation of safety and environmental aspects of engineering
- Asset management and care

What you'll need to succeed: Degree-qualified or proven experience working at a senior level across a large-scale manufacturing facility, with experience of high-value project management, experience in continuous improvement and lean principles, IOSH, Nebosh managing safety, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure. The company is seeking a bold change agent to make a strong impact and have a positive influence on the engineering teams.
