We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Permanent Full-Timemercial Gas Engineer covering sites throughout the Strabane and Derry/Londonderry areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established facilities management and building services team responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair, and installation ofmercial gas systems across a varied portfolio of properties.
The successful candidate will be a motivated and experiencedmercial Gas Engineer with strong fault-finding abilities and amitment to delivering high-quality maintenance services while ensuringpliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Your new role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) onmercial gas systems and heating equipment.
- Service, maintain, diagnose, and repairmercial boilers, burners, and associated plant.
- Attend reactive maintenance call-outs andplete repairs within agreed timeframes.
- Carry out fault-finding and system diagnostics onmercial heating installations.
- Undertake minor installations, upgrades, and replacement works where required.
- Ensurepliance with Health & Safety legislation andpany procedures.
- Liaise with clients, site managers, and end users in a professional manner.
- Participate in on-call and overtime rota when required.
- What you'll need to succeed
Essential Criteria
• Recognised qualification inmercial Gas Engineering.
- Currentmercial Gas Safe qualifications.
- Proven experience working as amercial Gas Engineer within FM, building services, industrial, ormercial environments.
- Valid CSR Card – Essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence – Essential.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Goodmunication and customer service skills.
- Sound understanding of current gas regulations and safe working practices.
Desirable Criteria
• Experience within Facilities Management or Maintenance Contracts.
- Qualifications relating to oil-fired systems, LPG, or HVAC systems.
- Experience working within public sector, healthcare, education, ormercial properties.
- Knowledge of BMS controls and associated heating controls.
- IPAF, Working at Height, or other relevant industry certifications.
