This leading insurance organisation, headquartered in Central London, is seeking a Strategy and Operations Manager to join its Office of the COO team. The company has a strong reputation for innovation and operational excellence, with a clear strategic vision for growth. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, offering a hybrid working model with 3β4 days in the office and 1β2 days from home.
As Strategy and Operations Manager, you will partner with two key functions, International Delivery Centre and Data Office, to ensure they run efficiently and deliver on strategic goals. You will work closely with senior leadership teams to improve processes, manage resources, and support cross-functional initiatives. You will be responsible for:
- Driving strategy and delivering improvement projects across Group Operations.
- Overseeing financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning.
- Managing risk, audit actions, and governance in line with corporate standards.
- Preparing executive-level reporting and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Leading internal communications, including town halls and engagement activities.
- Coordinating cross-Operations projects and ensuring successful delivery.
To succeed in this role, you will need proven leadership experience in business management, including financial, resource, and risk management. Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
You should have:
- Experience in strategy, operations, and process improvement.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.
- Knowledge of supporting business functions (HR, Finance, Risk, etc.).
- Insurance industry experience (desirable).
In addition to a competitive hourly rate, you will be paid weekly through an efficient online timesheet process and will also receive expert advice from a Hays consultant providing support and guidance throughout the duration of your contract. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills and gain hands-on experience in a large and busy working environment. You will receive bespoke in-house training and will be closely guided to your success.
