Our client, a Lloyd’s international Insurance broker, based in the heart of the City of London, is looking for a Marine Claims Broker (on a 6-9 month FTC) to join their business. The salary is very competitive, and you will be working for a fantastic brand within the Insurance industry offering a very relaxed hybrid working structure.
In your new role, you will be involved in the processing of all Marine claims across Hull & Machinery, Liability and P&I claims from being the initial point of contact through to final settlement. You will be expected to work closely with the underwriters, including partaking in meetings and broking to the Underwriting teams. You will be expected to liaise with surveyors, lawyers and other professional and technical advisors as well as being the go-to liaison with clients. You will also need to undertake the responsibility of preparing Claims statistics and keeping all accounting and entries accurate and up to date.
In order to be successful, you will need a working knowledge and working experience of the Marine line of business (specifically Marine Hull & Machinery, Liability and P&I) and you must have experience using the ECF settlement system. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong administration skills. This is a great opportunity for a confident, ambitious, motivated individual who can multitask and remain organised throughout their day. You will also have an in-depth understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines relevant to the types of clients you will be dealing with.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary working for a very well-established, prestigious brand with a great reputation in the heart of the City of London. Please note this is currently a 6–9-month fixed-term contract.
