Your New Role
Hays are recruiting for an experienced Configuration Manager to support a high-profile Ministry of Justice programme. This is a fully remote contract opportunity working within a secure and highly regulated environment, ensuring the integrity, consistency andernance of critical IT systems and infrastructure.
You will play a key role in maintaining configuration management processes, controlling changes, ensuring auditpliance and supporting the successful deployment of technology services across the organisation.What You'll Be Doing
Managing and maintaining Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs).
Identifying, categorising and tracking configuration items including servers, software, documentation and infrastructure assets.
Establishing and maintaining hardware and software baselines. Controlling anderning system changes through established change management processes.
Supporting Change Advisory Boards (CAB) and configurationernance activities.
Producing status reports and maintaining full traceability of configuration items.
Conducting audits and verification activities to ensure configuration accuracy andpliance.
Working closely with technical and business stakeholders to support seamless deployments and operational stability.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Active SC Clearance.
Proven experience in Configuration Management withinplex IT environments.
Strong CMDB administration andernance experience.
Experience managing configuration items, baselines and change control processes.
Knowledge of audit,pliance and configuration verification activities.
Experience with configuration and version control tools.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across development, engineering, QA and leadership teams.
