A well-established multidisciplinary built environment consultancy of approximately 100 people, bringing together architecture, structural and civil engineering, Principal Designer, and building consultancy services under one roof. Architecture sits at the heart of the practice, which includes a strong and growing specialist healthcare team. The business works directly with NHS Trusts across community, acute and mental health settings, as well as private healthcare clients, including prestigious Harley Street clinics. Projects typically range up to £10m, complemented by several larger healthcare schemes in the £20m–£30m bracket. This creates a rare balance of hands-on project delivery alongside exposure to complex, high-value programmes.
They are seeking a Senior Architectural Technician or Technical Architect with proven detailing expertise to join their healthcare team. This is a technically focused role, centred on the production of robust, high-quality construction information and the resolution of complex technical challenges. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are thoroughly coordinated, buildable, and delivered to a consistently high technical standard.
- Produce detailed construction information, including 1:5 and 1:10 details
- Lead the technical delivery of projects across later RIBA stages (Stages 4–6)
- Coordinate closely with in-house structural, civil and Principal Designer teams
- Liaise with contractors and external consultants to resolve technical queries
- Review, maintain and improve drawing quality and technical standards
- Attend site visits and support activities during the construction phase
About You:
- An experienced Architectural Technician or Technical Architect with a strong delivery mindset
- Demonstrable experience producing detailed construction drawings, including 1:5 details
- Solid technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing
- Highly proficient in Revit
- Detail-focused, methodical and solutions-driven
- Comfortable working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
