Your new company is an award-winning civil, structural, environmental and transport planning consultancy with 100 employees across 5 UK office locations. They deliver imaginative, integrated design solutions from concept to completion across the residential, commercial, industrial and education sectors. Located in the heart of Liverpool city centre, they have gone from strength to strength since the conception of their Liverpool office 4 years ago, with the ambition of growing an exciting, reliable and autonomous client base within the region. A fantastic start has been made, and they are looking to further strengthen their structural team, having recently moved into a more modern and spacious office.
Your new role: As a Structural Engineer or Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering design work for a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects, from feasibility stage through to completion. This includes analysis and design using engineering software such as Tekla, TEDDS, StatiCA as well as producing hand calculations. CDM activities, scopes of work and producing technical reports will also be required. As an experienced engineer, you will assist and mentor junior engineers to promote their technical and professional development.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- A degree (MEng/BEng) qualification in Civil Engineering or similar, relevant field
- Good, all-round structural design expertise using British and EU codes, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a similar design consultancy environment
- Experience using design and analysis software such as TEDDS and Tekla
- Ideally experience designing structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge and use of BIM packages
What you’ll get in return: You will receive a highly competitive annual salary in the region of £45,000 - £55,000, depending on experience. Hybrid and flexible working to suit your needs with 3 days expected in the office per week. Flexible holiday allowance, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
