The team is known for its expertise in subsea cable landfall construction, inter‑tidal civil works, and offshore renewable export cable connections. Their teams operate in dynamic coastal environments, supporting clients from concept design through to on‑site delivery. They are seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Lisburn with occasional travel.
Your new role As a Nearshore/Offshore Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in:
- Designing and project delivery for subsea and landslide cable projects.
- Delivering technical input on projects such as cable landfalls, renewable energy connections, and marine civils installations.
- Working closely with marine operations teams using a range of specialist vessels, modular jack‑up platforms, excavators and cable‑handling equipment.
- Coordinating design outputs, site documentation and as‑built reporting.
- Contributing to a strong safety, environmental and quality culture aligned with internationally recognised certification standards.
- You’ll be working with a suite of modern engineering and digital‑delivery tools.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Degree in Civil, Structural, Marine or Coastal Engineering.
- Proficient in using engineering software.
- Experience in marine, nearshore or offshore civil works (or broader major infrastructure).
- Understanding of subsea cable installation, coastal earthworks or marine plants is beneficial.
- Familiarity with 3D modelling, GPS‑enabled systems or digital engineering tools.
- 3 years of post graduate experience in contracting or consultancy.
- Ability to lead design development, manage workload and liaise with clients.
- Knowledge of another European language is beneficial but not essential.
