Due to continued operational requirements, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Support Administrator to join a busy and collaborative corporate services team.
Your new role
As Business Support Administrator, you will provide a professional and customer-focused administrative service, supporting a range of business functions within a fast-paced environment.
Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of administrative operations.
Key responsibilities will include
- Providing reception and telephone support, handling enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Managing shared mailboxes and responding to customer queries within agreed timescales.
- Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and tracking follow-up actions.
- Maintaining accurate electronic and manual records, databases and spreadsheets.
- Preparing correspondence, reports, statistics and confidential documentation.
- Managing iing and outgoing mail, deliveries, visitor records and access arrangements.
- Supporting travel bookings, procurement administration and general office coordination.
- Monitoring administrative processes and identifying opportunities for service improvement.
- Providing administrative support across departments as required to meet organisational needs.
- Ensuringpliance with informationernance, data protection and records management procedures.
- What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate:
• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
- At least 2 years' experience in a busy office environment carrying out a broad range of administrative and business support duties.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Strong written and verbalmunication skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A customer-focused approach andmitment to delivering a high-quality service.
Desirable criteria include experience of minute taking, action tracking, switchboard management and working within a public sector or highly regulated environment.
