Due to continued business success, an opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Administrator to join their close-knit and supportive office team.

Your new role

As Accounts Administrator, you will provide essential support across finance and office administration functions within a busy environment. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing and recording supplier invoices
  • Managing purchase invoices and investigating discrepancies
  • Raising sales invoices and customer statements
  • Maintaining financial records and updating accounting systems
  • Processing invoice payments and remittances
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash records
  • Raising purchase orders and obtaining supplier quotations
  • Producing reports and statistical information as required
  • Supporting general office administration duties
  • Assisting with reception and wider administrative tasks when needed
  • Carrying out ad hoc duties to support the wider business function
  • What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in an accounts or finance administration position
  • Experience processing invoices, purchase orders and statements
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent written and verbalmunication skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Desirable:

  • A business-related qualification or studies towards an accountancy qualification
  • Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar cloud-based systems
