You will be joining a highly respected and award-winning civil engineering contractor based in Leicester operating within the water industry.

This well-established design and build contractor specialises in the delivery of clean and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects for major water providers, including the likes of Severn Trent Water, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.

They have built long-standing relationships with key clients through their collaborative approach andmitment to quality, and as part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Leicester office.

Your new role

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate andpetitive estimates for a range of water projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Managing the full tendering process from receipt of enquiry to final submission
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
  • Producing detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and infrastructure schemes
  • Obtaining and evaluating quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Identifying project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions
  • Collaborating with operational, mercial and pre-construction teams to develop winning tender strategies
  • Preparing tender reports, bid documentation and presentation materials
  • Supporting client engagement and attending pre-tender and post-tender meetings where required
  • Maintaining awareness of market conditions, pricing trends and supply chain capabilities.
  • What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you must have:
• Experience estimating within the water (clean and/or waste) industry

  • Proven ability to preparepetitive tenders on projects of varying size andplexity
  • Excellentmercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Proficiency with standard estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strongmunication and stakeholder management skills.

Candidates from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor background are encouraged to apply.
