As part of this investment, a new opportunity has arisen for a Lead Business Analyst to take ownership of the business analysis function and play a key role in shaping the future of change delivery.

In this role, you’ll lead and develop a team of Business Analysts and help define the organisation’s approach to business analysis. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure that insight-driven analysis supports effective decision-making and successful delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a team of Business Analysts, embedding consistent methodologies and fostering a collaborative working culture
  • Partnering with stakeholders to explore challenges, define opportunities, and guide decision-making through robust analysis
  • Overseeing resource planning and allocation to ensure effective support across multiple change initiatives
  • Leading reviews of operational processes and customer journeys, producing high-quality documentation and actionable insights
  • Embedding a benefits-focused approach, ensuring recommendations are grounded in evidence and aligned with organisational goals
  • Leading and developing the organisation’s business-led testing approach, ensuring test plans, test scripts, and UAT preparation are robust and fit for purpose
  • Coordinating testing activities to ensure solutions are credible, high-quality, and deliver measurable benefits before go-live

What you’ll need to succeed:

You’ll bring a blend of leadership, analytical expertise, and stakeholder engagement, supported by experience of leading teams and a strong track record of delivering analysis in agile or traditional environments. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for a range of audiences. You will be proficient in techniques such as journey mapping, requirements engineering, benefits modelling, and impact assessment. You will also bring a proactive, resilient approach, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while supporting the development of your team. Experience of planning and coordinating business-led testing, including test scripts, test plans, and UAT readiness, will be essential. A recognised Business Analysis qualification is desirable.
