Based in Ayrshire, our client is recruiting for a Company Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm in the office. The organisation can be accessed by public transport and there is on-site parking.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the external accountant, the Company Accountant will undertake ownership of transactional finance responsibilities for the organisation. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Processing invoices & subcontractor payment runs across 4 sites
- Inbox & query management
- Expenses
- Bank reconciliations
- Reporting for external and internal stakeholders
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- VAT returns and all associated duties
Payroll is processed by a colleague, but you may be required to support from time-to-time.
You will have experience in a similarly varied accountant position, ideally (but not essentially) from within the construction sector. You will be a personable communicator as you will liaise with colleagues, clients and suppliers on a daily basis. You will have excellent attention to detail, and you will thrive managing a diverse and busy workload.
