As an ISO Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with internationally recognised standards, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager within the IMS team, you will be responsible for delivering a structured programme of internal audits, supporting the development of management systems and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting internal audits in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 at relevant sites across the UK and Ireland
- Working to the Internal Audit Schedule set by the Internal Audit Manager
- Preparing clear, accurate and timely audit reports
- Following up on audit actions and supporting teams to address areas for improvement
- Highlighting any significant risks or threats identified during the audit process
- Sharing best practice and supporting cross-departmental improvement initiatives
- Advising on the development and enhancement of Integrated Management Systems
- Accompanying third-party auditors during surveillance and certification visits
This role will require some travel to sites across the UK, but you will be responsible for managing your own diary/schedule.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as an Internal ISO Auditor or with internal auditing experience/qualifications within a SHEQ function with strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and awareness of ISO 9001. Construction background is preferred but those from an engineering or manufacturing background are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and meet strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical, process-driven mindset
- Commitment to continuous personal and professional development
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to travel to sites as required
Desirable but not essential:
- MCQI professional qualification or chartership
- Lead Auditor training for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Experience within the construction industry
