An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Procurement Manager to join a leading organisation operating across the engineering, construction, and energy sectors. This site-based role offers the chance to take ownership of procurement activities at a key operational location, supporting both routine and project-based procurement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all third-party procurement spend at the site, working closely with operational and maintenance teams to ensure procurement strategies are aligned with business goals. From day-to-day purchasing to large-scale projects such as maintenance shutdowns and capital investments, this role is central to delivering cost-effective, compliant, and high-performing procurement outcomes.

You will also contribute to strategic sourcing across multi-million-pound procurement categories, leading tendering processes, supplier negotiations, and contract implementation. A strong focus on stakeholder engagement and supplier performance will be essential, as will a proactive approach to risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Applicants should hold a degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline or possess equivalent experience.
  • A CIPS qualification (or progress towards one) is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement within technical or industrial sectors, with proven experience managing CAPEX projects and optimizing supplier contracts.
  • Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously are key.
  • Familiarity with procurement platforms such as SAP and a solid understanding of category management and spend analysis will be advantageous.
