Our client is a high-profile values-driven public sector organisation, currently seeking a highly proficient procurement leader with extensive experience of government frameworks, to join them on an interim basis and support their commercial team of over 20 staff.

You will be covering a period whilst they recruit a permanent role. This is a fast-moving organisation with continual negotiations and renewals to be involved in. Managing a diverse, multi-million pound, annual contract spend, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in a major lease renewal project.

In this pivotal role, you’ll:

  • Drive strategic procurement and contract management across major outsourced contracts.
  • Shape and deliver innovative commercial strategies aligned with government guidelines.
  • Oversee supplier relationship management and ensure robust contractual frameworks.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team while influencing senior stakeholders.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • MCIPS, BIFM or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proven track record in strategic procurement and commercial leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, compliance, and supplier management.
  • Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience within a regulated or public sector environment.
  • Experience of DDaT framework would be beneficial.
  • Experience of Facilities as a category would be beneficial.
