Your new role: As a Third in Charge / Room Lead, you’ll work closely with the management team to create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment where children can thrive. You’ll take an active role in planning, delivering, and evaluating high‑quality learning experiences, while supporting the team to maintain the highest standards of care and education. You will be based in the pre-school room within the nursery. This role is a great opportunity for a Room Leader or Deputy Room Leader who is looking to take the next step up in their professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the nursery
  • Lead the nursery in the absence of the Deputy Manager
  • Contribute to planning and delivering engaging, child‑centred activities
  • Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are consistently followed
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Mentor and guide junior staff to support their professional development
  • Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and records in line with EYFS requirements

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS
