Head of Finance to join a well-established and purpose-driven organisation in West Wales.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for ensuring financial integrity, supporting effectiveernance and contributing to the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead the finance function, provide strategic financial leadership and work closely with senior stakeholders to support decision-making and organisational performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys operating at both a strategic and operational level whilst making a meaningful contribution to the wider organisation.

Key

Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and treasury management activities.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and oversee financial controls, payroll and financial procedures.
  • Provide financial advice and support to senior leadership anderning members.
  • Lead and develop the finance team whilst promoting continuous improvement across systems and processes.
  • Support ie generation activities and the identification of external funding opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with auditors, funding bodies and other key external stakeholders.
  • Play an active role within the senior leadership team, helping shape future strategy and organisational performance.
  • Ensure the organisation remainspliant with all relevant financial and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Significant senior finance leadership experience within a public sector, localernment or similarly regulated environment.
  • Experience working with senior leaders, boards, members or equivalent stakeholders.
  • Strong budgeting, financial reporting, ernance and treasury management experience.
  • Proven people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of Sage accounting software would be advantageous.
  • Ability to speak Welsh confidently is highly desirable.
  • Strongmunication skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders where required.
