About the Role
Hays Education is delighted to be supporting a primary school in Greenwich in recruiting a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and welcoming school community that works collaboratively across Greenwich, Medway, and Croydon to transform the lives of children and families. The HLTA role is integral to the school, supporting teachers during their PPA time and ensuring high-quality learning continues in the classroom. You will take on greater responsibility than a Teaching Assistant, including covering classes and planning and delivering your own lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover classes and deliver high-quality lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
- Support teachers during PPA time to ensure continuity of learning.
- Plan, prepare, and teach lessons in line with the EYFS and primary curriculum.
- Maintain strong relationships with pupils and promote positive behaviour for learning.
- Provide flexible support across the school to meet the needs of all learners.
