Your new role involves:
- Supporting senior colleagues with tasks such as preparing corporation tax computations and returns, as well as advisory work including capital allowances, R&D claims, tax due diligence, and transaction/restructuring reports.
- Assisting in developing junior staff through day-to-day support and mentoring.
- Conducting tax technical research for wider projects.
- Handling various tax-related administrative tasks.
- Contributing to marketing and business development initiatives.
- Helping maintain relationships with clients, HMRC, and other professional services firms to deliver excellent client service.
- Collaborating with audit teams on annual tax assignments.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a corporation tax compliance role.
- ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experience and interest in studying for CTA.
- Strong, up-to-date technical knowledge.
- Fully conversant with compliance standards for tax and audit.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships quickly.
- Professional and discreet in client care.
- Experience with Alphatax is desirable.
