We’re seeking an experienced Recruitment Advisor / Talent Advisor to undertake an initial 3 months contract via Hays in Eastleigh, Hampshire. We’re supporting a leading organisation in Eastleigh to appoint an Interim Recruitment Advisor / Talent Advisor on a 3‑month assignment, working closely with hiring managers and HR partners to drive effective end‑to‑end recruitment.
The Role
As the Recruitment Advisor, you’ll act as a trusted talent partner to hiring managers across the business, ensuring recruitment activity is efficient, compliant, and aligned with workforce needs. You will:
- Stakeholder & Hiring Manager Support
- Advise hiring managers on recruitment best practice, ensuring a consistent, structured, and compliant process.
- Build strong relationships at all levels and act as the single point of contact for all recruitment activity.
- Attend onsite management meetings discussing talent mapping, attraction strategies, and recruitment campaigns.
- Provide an on‑site presence to strengthen relationships and enhance engagement.
- End‑to‑End Recruitment Delivery
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including headcount approval, advertising, selection, and offers.
- Conduct CV sifting, telephone interviewing, and support hiring managers with competency‑based interviewing.
- Design and implement innovative assessment methods including open days, assessment centres, and ability testing.
- Utilise non‑agency channels and direct sourcing to reduce agency reliance and build talent pipelines.
- Talent, Market Insight & ED&I
- Work closely with the Talent Business Partner on internal mobility, redeployment, and succession planning.
- Support Social Value and ED&I strategies throughout the recruitment process.
- Actively participate in networking, social media engagement, job fairs and community outreach.
- Stay ahead of engineering/technical market trends, emerging technologies, and sector talent insights.
About You
We’re looking for a highly capable recruitment professional who can hit the ground running. You will bring:
- Experience & Technical Skills
- Extensive experience in a 360° recruitment role, ideally in engineering/FM/technical or similar sectors.
- Strong technical understanding of disciplines and market trends.
- Proven ability to manage volume recruitment.
- Experience designing and running assessment centres (highly desirable).
- Strong CV screening, telephone and face‑to‑face interviewing experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of e‑recruitment systems.
- High proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Personal Qualities
- Excellent communication skills and resilience under pressure.
- Data‑driven approach to reporting, salary benchmarking and performance insights.
- Tenacious, relationship‑focused and confident managing stakeholders.
- Self‑starter with the ability to support ongoing change initiatives.
- Full UK driving licence.
The Offer
3 months contract via Hays online timesheets weekly. Full time – 35 hours 8-4pm or similar. 3 days per week on site / 2 days from home.
