I am delighted to be exclusively working with this Co Durham based Group who are looking to strengthen their head office finance function. It's a fast-paced team working within a successful and continually expanding Group. With exciting new plans on the horizon, this is a super time to join the business enabling you to develop and strengthen your accounting skills and knowledge.
Your new role:
- Assisting the Company Accountant with the key tasks below, it is hoped that you will continue to grow within the role and in time take on more and more of the Accountant's role.
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
- Assist at year end with the preparation of the Statutory Accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of cashflow forecasts.
- HMRC returns - PAYE, VAT etc.
- Assist with the company-wide payroll.
- Credit control.
- General finance admin reconciliations.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious AAT qualified individual who aspires to become an Accountant.
What you'll need to succeed:
- You will ideally be AAT qualified, or nearing qualification with your heart set on continuing your studies to complete the ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- You will already have experience of working within a busy finance team where you have seen all aspects of the accounts rather than just the purchase or sales ledger.
- If you are a whizz on Excel that would really enhance your application.
- A car owner is essential to enable occasional travel to all businesses within the Group.
