A well‑established residential developer is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to support ongoing new‑build housing projects in the Carlisle area. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional to join a high-performing site team on either a freelance or permanent basis.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of new-build housing units, maintaining high standards of quality, health & safety, and programme performance. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with day‑to‑day site operations across a live housing development
- Supporting the coordination of subcontractors and trades
- Monitoring build quality in line with NHBC standards
- Ensuring site safety compliance and maintaining accurate site records
- Contributing to progress meetings, reporting, and programme updates
- Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and customer care teams
