HMP Cardiff is a Category B men’s prison located in Cardiff.
In your new role as a cleaning operative, you will be carrying out general cleaning duties throughout the prison site (not wings):
- Vacuuming
- Mopping
- Emptying bins
- Cleaning surfaces
- Tidying
Working hours: 6am-2pm, 1 in 3 Weekend Work.
Your hourly rates are as follows and inclusive of holidays: Standard: £ P/ Hour.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Your new role does not require any experience as full training is provided. However, experience would be beneficial. A good understanding of chemical colour coding (COSHH) is required. You will need to have strong communication skills, be hard-working, and practical. In order to be successful, you’ll also need to pass a security clearance procedure due to the nature of the role and provide satisfactory references that cover the last 3 years of employment.
