Your new company is a growing and dynamic multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy, providing a wide range of services across the majority of industry sectors including commercial, health, education, defence, residential and community. Their services include architecture, building surveying, building services engineering, planning, interior design, sustainability, civil and structural engineering, quantity surveying, project management, CDM and health and safety services.
Your new role involves meeting with clients to establish project briefs and formulating sound engineering, cost-effective solutions. You will ensure designs not only meet functional requirements but are fully compliant with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations and best practice, and are environmentally sensitive. You will prepare budget costs for client consideration and draw up tender documentation. Additionally, you will project manage site works from commencement to completion and monitor site works against specification requirements. You will carry out inspections of existing installations, submit condition reports, and agree contractor final accounts.
What you'll need to succeed: To succeed, your new company is looking for someone who has a degree or master's in engineering, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services (or similar), has chartered engineer status, a full driving licence, and excellent communication skills. Problem-solving abilities and being a good decision maker are also essential.
