Hays Education has been approached by several schools across Burscough, Ormskirk and Skelmersdale who are looking to secure Teaching Assistants to start on an immediate basis. These job roles are available across both KS1 and KS2 within mainstream primary schools and may have elements of SEN. The current roles on offer include day-to-day, short-time and long-time roles, depending on the school, so whatever it is you are looking for, we will have something to suit your needs. This is a great opportunity to experience different schools in the area to find the one that suits you.
In this job role, you will be responsible for helping in both group and 1:1 settings for pupils in KS1 and KS2 and this could be helping with English, Maths, Reading and Writing. Depending on the needs of the school, you may be asked to move around classes, so you will need to be flexible and approachable. It is important for you to work closely with the other teachers and TAs to ensure pupils are progressing, and that work is in line with pupil ability. You will be an integral part of the school, joining a team of TAs who are very experienced and that you will be able to learn from.
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role. However, do not let this put you off applying as we are always receiving new roles. SEN experience would also be desirable in this role. However, it is not essential as it will depend on the school you are placed in.
This is a fantastic opportunity, working in some excellent schools. You’ll receive:
- A day rate from £95 per day in addition to holiday pay
- Free CV consultation with a dedicated education consultant to support your career goals
- Access to the Hays App, where you can access your timesheets, holiday booking system, free training, well-being courses and a range of discounts and cash-back deals
- A dedicated Hays consultant
