I am recruiting for a Temp Payroll Officer for a Logistics business that has grown significantly over the years, consistently improving their ways of working. At our Head Office, you will have the opportunity to fully utilise your skill set while also building upon it, as there are always plenty of opportunities for progression. This role will be a part-time temporary role for up to 3 months, which could potentially turn into a permanent role for the right candidate. This will be an onsite role based in Burnley.
In this role, you will be working within an experienced team, preparing the monthly and weekly payroll for over 250 employees across multiple companies. You will manage the full end-to-end payroll process, perform payroll reconciliations, and post nominal journals. Additionally, you will coordinate with the HR department to ensure employee records are up-to-date and all new starter information is available. When not preparing payroll, you will assist the accounts team with various tasks.
To succeed in this role, you should have experience in a similar payroll position, conducting end-to-end payroll. Experience using Sage Line 50 is essential. You should be computer-literate with strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel. Being well-organised and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment is crucial. You should be self-motivated with good attention to detail and have excellent time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
