Position Overview
Seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing Building Services design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical design for a variety of exciting and challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specification of electrical building services systems
- Produce detailed calculations using industry software such as Amtech, DIALux, Relux, Revit, and AutoCAD
- Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and tender documentation
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and external consultants to ensure seamless integration of building services
- Attend design team meetings, site visits, and inspections as required
- Ensure designs comply with current legislation, standards, and best practice
Key Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical building services design
- Proficiency with design tools such as Amtech, DIALux, Relux, Revit, and AutoCAD
- Sound knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice
- Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (CIBSE) desirable
- Full UK driving licence preferred
