I am working with a respected local authority in Greater Manchester who are seeking an experienced Building Control Technical Support Officer to join their team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy Building Control service and contribute to the smooth running of essential statutory functions across the borough.
In this role, you will provide high‑quality administrative and technical support to the Building Control team, ensuring the efficient processing of applications and compliance documentation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing building regulation applications from receipt through to completion
- Preparing, updating and maintaining accurate records, registers and databases
- Handling customer enquiries and offering guidance on processes and documentation
- Assisting surveyors with the coordination of inspections and statutory notices
- Producing reports, correspondence and supporting information for internal and external stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in Building Control or similar technical support role
