You will be based in communities around the borough and will work as part of a team to ensure public areas remain clean, safe and secure for residents. Your key duties will include:
- Maintaining buildings and surrounding areas
- Carrying out any maintenance and repairs as required
- Abiding by health and safety regulations
- Assisting in general cleaning and maintenance
- Checking fire exits are kept clear and windows and doors are secure when the building is evacuated
As part of this role, you will also be required to drive tipper trucks. Therefore, a full driving licence is essential.
You will need to have had previous experience in a similar job role and be able to take care of any tasks required to ensure the maintenance of the service, including carrying out basic repairs, maintenance and safety checks. Within this role, you will need to use your initiative and be able to identify hazards and resolve them. It is essential that you have an enhanced DBS for this role.
You will be paid a competitive hourly rate and have a guaranteed long-term position, with further opportunities for permanent roles. As a Hays contractor, you will have a dedicated consultant who will support you throughout the recruitment process as well as whilst you are at work. You will be given access to our training platform, where you can assign yourself to free online training to enhance your own skills.
