Our client is a highly-regarded defendant firm with offices across the UK. They are currently recruiting for solicitors, associates or senior associates to join their defendant EL/PL team in Manchester and Birmingham on a hybrid basis. A competitive salary is available and negotiable dependent on experience.

Dependent on your level of experience, these Defendant EL/PL positions will see you:

  • Handle your own caseload of defendant EL/PL valued up to £500,000.
  • Handle occasional occupational health and disease files when required, ranging in value.
  • Assist senior team members on higher-value, complex cases.
  • Conduct liability investigations, gather evidence, review medical evidence and prepare instructions.
  • Draft court documents and attend court hearings.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You must be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive.
  • Applicants should have qualified or paralegal experience handling their own caseload of personal injury claims.
  • Defendant multi-track personal injury experience is beneficial.
  • Experience of occupational health and/or disease work is beneficial.
  • All applicants must have excellent communication skills.
