We are seeking an experienced Contract Works Officer to join one of our key clients’ Capital Investment and Repairs team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality housing repairs and improvements.
About the Role
You will be responsible for diagnosing building faults, preparing detailed schedules of work, and managing contractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. The role involves overseeing on-site progress, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare works instructions and schedules for disrepair, litigation, and programmed works.
- Manage contractor performance and ensure quality of work on-site.
- Certify payments and monitor expenditure throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM, and Health & Safety standards.
- Provide technical advice and support, including for leaseholder-related works.
- Liaise with tenants, community groups, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Support audits, process improvements, and policy development.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven experience diagnosing building faults and managing contracts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Building Regulations, IEE Regulations, and Gas Safety standards.
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and working collaboratively.
PLEASE NOTE: A current driving licence would be advantageous, and occasional out-of-hours work may be required.
