You will be joining a well-established local authoritymitted to improving oues for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The team is delivering a long-term reform programme aimed at increasing the capacity of mainstream schools to support children with SEND, helping to create more inclusive educational environments across the region.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination and administration of programme activities, supporting senior stakeholders, board members and project teams to achieve critical milestones.
Your new role
As a Business Support Coordinator, you will provideprehensive administrative and coordination support to the SEND Reform Team.
This is a varied and fast-paced position requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the confidence to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Key responsibilities will include
- Coordinating and organising meetings, workshops and board sessions, including diary management, venue arrangements and distribution of agendas and supporting papers.
- Taking ownership of the full meeting life cycle, from scheduling and preparation through to attendance, minute-taking and post-meeting follow-up actions.
- Producing detailed and accurate minutes, action logs and meeting records, ensuring deadlines and actions are monitored andpleted.
- Building effective working relationships with project stakeholders, board members, schools and internal departments.
- Supporting programme delivery by maintaining project documentation, records and reporting information.
- Managing and distributing key project data and documentation to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring project timelines and following up on outstanding actions andmitments.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of new administrative processes and suggesting improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Providing general business support across the SEND Reform Programme as required.
This is a hybrid role, primarily working from home with attendance at the office and meetings required when necessary. What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and self-motivated administrator with excellent coordination andmunication skills.
You will ideally have
- Previous experience in a Business Support, Project Support, Programme Support or Executive Administration role.
- Strong experience organising meetings and managing stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent minute-taking skills with the ability to captureplex discussions accurately and professionally.
- Experience tracking actions, coordinating follow-up activities and managingpeting priorities.
- Confidentmunication skills with the ability to engage professionally with senior managers and board-level stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
- The ability to work independently, use initiative and suggest process improvements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A basic DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
Experience supporting education, local authority, SEND or transformation programmes would be advantageous but is not essential.
