Your new company Hays NI are pleased to be working once again with a family-owned Building Contracting contractor that has been operating for over 55 years at the forefront of the construction industry at a local level. Specialising in commercial, education, leisure and construction of social and affordable homes, both in the North and South of Ireland, they now require an experienced Finishing Foreperson to join their team on an ongoing social housing site in the city.
Your new role Initially, you will be based on-site working on a social housing site in Belfast. You will be very much a hands-on Finishing Foreperson, leading the internals team on site to deliver the high-quality results that the company has consistently delivered. You will be required to maintain health and safety standards whilst motivating the team to deliver the project on time and within budget. This is initially a temporary role with potential for long-term works. This is an excellent opportunity to gain future permanent employment with a contractor who will invest in your future and assist with learning and development opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed A successful Finishing Foreperson must have relevant experience of overseeing section teams on complex residential or commercial schemes. You will be a self-starter, with a can-do attitude and a good level of organisation. You will possess a high level of communication and be responsible for ensuring the team are briefed daily on the scheduled works programme. You will be able to motivate the team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality finish. You must have relevant experience working as a Finishing Foreperson on medium-scale building projects.
