If so, we’re recruiting a Data Processing & Analysis Officer on behalf of a large public‑sector organisation in Northern Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in data, research and performance reporting.

The Role

  • Carry out day‑to‑day data extraction, cleansing, manipulation and analysis
  • Provide accurate, timely and consistent information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and document methodologies for statistical and geospatial analysis
  • Support performance reporting, dashboards and digital information systems
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, data governance and information management best practice
  • Help maintain organisational datasets and contribute to open data publishing
  • Assist with customer feedback exercises, trend analysis and operational reporting

Essential Criteria

To apply, you must meet one of the following qualification/experience routes:

  • Option A: Level 4 qualification (Degree or HND – ideally with research or statistics component) and at least 1 year’s experience in a statistical analysis or research environment
  • Option B: Level 3 qualification (A‑Levels or HNC) and at least 2 years’ experience in a statistical analysis or research environment

You must also demonstrate:

  • Understanding of data processing, analysis and information management processes
  • Experience undertaking research, interpreting and presenting data
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality work
  • A strong customer‑focused approach
  • A full, current UK driving licence (Category B)

Desirable (not essential):

  • Experience working in the public sector
  • Experience with GIS tools
  • Experience analysing large or complex datasets
