The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association in Belfast, to recruit an Assets Officer on a temporary contract basis for a period of 6 months with the possibility of further extension.
You will oversee the delivery of an efficient maintenance service, ensuring tenant satisfaction. This will include:
- Responding directly to tenants' queries regarding maintenance by telephone and/or by personal visits.
- Liaising with maintenance staff when responding to complaints regarding maintenance issues and maintenance services.
- Liaising directly with Supported Living Scheme Managers in relation to maintenance issues.
- Monitoring and reviewing that statutory compliance requirements are being maintained in Supported Living Schemes and General Needs properties.
- Inspecting, where necessary, defects or repairs reported to the office, identifying the reason for the problem and ensuring it is repaired within the proper response time.
- Liaising with contractors to ensure problems are dealt with quickly and effectively.
- Monitoring the performance of contractors.
- Assisting in the programming and organisation of planned and cyclical maintenance and to monitor and inspect the work carried out.
- Carrying out 'Change of Tenancy Inspections' for properties ensuring void properties are returned ready to let at the earliest opportunity.
To be considered for this position, you must possess:
- A third level qualification in a relevant building/construction subject with a minimum of 2 years' experience of property maintenance as outlined above.
- Alternatively, you should be educated to A-Level standard and have a minimum of 3 years' experience of property maintenance as outlined above.
This position offers an immediate start with the opportunity to work with a large Housing Association. You will be paid via Hays on a weekly basis for all hours worked.
