You'll be joining a well-established NHS organisationmitted to delivering high-quality healthcare services across the region.
The finance team plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, financial sustainability, and service improvement initiatives.
Your new role As a Capital Accountant, you will support the management of the organisation's capital programme, fixed asset accounting, and financial reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities will include capital expenditure monitoring, maintaining the fixed asset register, supporting business cases, IFRS 16 accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting, and working closely with Estates and operational stakeholders.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Previous NHS finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of capital accounting and fixed assets.
- Experience with IFRS 16 accounting requirements.
- Ability to produce accurate financial reports, forecasts, and reconciliations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
- Experience using financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ACA).
