Your new company is one of the UK’s leading offsite construction specialists, offering a complete range of manufacturing, design and fit out construction services within the health, education, residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors. With an operational history of over 50 years, the company has evolved into an award-winning business that continues to successfully deliver a variety of bespoke & fast-track projects across the UK & Ireland. Due to expanding work across the business, the company now requires a SHEQ Advisor to take the lead on site-based health & safety.
Within your new role, you will join the team alongside another SHEQ Advisor supporting the SHEQ Manager. You will be responsible for the advice, guidance and support of the SHEQ Management teams, implementing and maintaining SHEQ systems, policies and procedures throughout the various construction sites across the UK and Ireland. You will be tasked with assisting in ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated alongside the development and regular review of SHEQ Policies, Risk Assessments and Method Statements for all operations and works carried out. You will regularly assist with ongoing development and administration of ISO accreditations & carry out regular site audits & inspections on site and within the workshop and conduct any accident investigations when necessary. Due to the location of projects, you will be open to travel 1-2 days per week, however, this is flexible and you will manage your own diary accordingly within the team.
As a successful SHEQ Advisor, you will have a previous track record working in a similar role preferably within a construction environment. You’ll demonstrate a working knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with a sound understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. You will be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level or hold a relevant BSc Degree. With sites covering both NI and across the UK, a flexible approach to travel is essential.
