As a HLTA, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Lead targeted interventions for small groups and individual pupils.
- Support curriculum planning and resource preparation.
- Work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 to raise attainment and close learning gaps.
- Provide specialist support for pupils with SEND or SEMH needs.
- Assess and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective strategies.
What you'll need to succeed:
- HLTA status or equivalent Level 4/5 qualification.
- Proven experience supporting learning across primary key stages.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Ability to lead lessons independently and manage classroom behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
