We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our client on a temporary basis, working within a prestigious gallery/museum environment in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and presentation of a high-profile cultural venue, where attention to detail and a high-quality finish are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out interior painting and decorating works to a high standard
- Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming
- Applying paints, varnishes, and other finishes with precision
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe
- Working in a sensitive environment, taking care to protect fixtures, fittings, and exhibits
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations on site
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a painter and decorator
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach
- Experience working in commercial or heritage environments is desirable but not essential
